Oakmoss (Evernia prunastri) despite its common name is a species of lichen. It is used extensively in modern perfumery and can be found growing throughout the northern hemisphere in mountainous temperate forests. It is named because it is often found growing on oak trees, but this lichen uses many trees as a host. Electroformed in copper and suspended from a brass chain.
