Heart shaped spinal disc of deer & Western Redcedar

Intervertebral disc in the shape of a heart from a deer skeleton found in the Okanogan National Forest.

Bone cleaned & soaked in cyanotype chemistry and placed in sun to develop blue color. 

Suspended below is western red cedar that has been electroformed in scrap copper. 

Suspended from an adjustable brass chain.
